Boulgou: The youth of the village of Bêka, located in the commune of Zabré, officially inaugurated their citizen watch roundabout on Sunday, June 15, 2025. Through this initiative, they reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the vision of the President of the Transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the village chief of Bêka, accompanied by his counterparts from neighboring villages, praised the youth’s commitment during the ceremony. His Majesty Naaba Salem emphasized that the roundabout should serve as a gathering place for organizing civic vigilance, ensuring that if everyone monitors their neighborhood, the entire country can be protected.

Leya Boussim, president of the Bête youth movement and leader of the Wayiyan movement, expressed strong support for Captain Ibrahim Traoré, stating that they are ready to support him even at great personal cost. For them, Captain Traoré is seen as a savior of their homeland.

Aziz Gouba, Secretary General of the Zabré Citizen Wat
ch Association, highlighted that this new roundabout brings the total number of spaces dedicated to monitoring in the municipality to 124. He urged residents to remain vigilant and warned that no suspicious behavior should go unnoticed, emphasizing that even mentally unstable people could be exploited by the country’s adversaries.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, Gouba announced plans for the Bêka citizen monitoring unit to plant trees at the foot of the roundabout in observance of National Tree Day.

The event’s sponsors, El Hadj Hamidou Zanré and Marcel Bandé, congratulated the youth on their civic action and lauded Captain Traoré’s efforts to defend the homeland. The ceremony concluded in a festive atmosphere with songs, traditional dances, and the raising of the national colors.
