Boulsa I Basic Education District Hosts 2nd Cultural Day Focused on Social Cohesion

Namentenga: The Boulsa I Basic Education District (CEB) held its 2nd edition of the cultural day on Saturday, April 12, 2025. This event, sponsored by musician Hato Ima, was themed “Promotion of sport and culture in primary school: Factor of social cohesion in a context of resilience.” The day took place in the province of Namentenga, in the Centre-Nord region.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the cultural day witnessed the participation of several constituted bodies of the province and featured cultural troupes from various schools in the district. The event included 44 artistic performances in traditional dance, 3 in theater, 7 in tradi-modern dance, 9 in recital, 1 in storytelling, 7 in fashion show, and 4 in humor. These performances aimed to address issues such as stigmatization, hatred, and social exclusion while paying tribute to the country’s leaders, including President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, and promoting social cohesion and mobilization for the defense of the homeland.



Charles Zongo, the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Boulsa I, expressed his gratitude towards the partners for their support in promoting culture and sport. He thanked the President of the special delegation of the commune of Boulsa, the members of the constituted bodies, and the native godfather of Boulsa for their contributions to the event’s success. Zongo also acknowledged the efforts of the Wendkouni association president, Dieudonn© Nonaba, supervisors, student artists, and teachers for their support in education. He noted that the cultural day allowed students to engage actively, achieving the intended objectives.



Am©d©e Marcel Tarniesga, the president of the jury, mentioned that the results of the various competitions would be announced, emphasizing the significance of the tasks assigned.
