Closure of ‘Les Grues Royales’ School Year Celebrates Student Successes

Ouagadougou: The private school group ‘Les Grues Royales’, located in Kamsongtenga, a southern suburb of Ouagadougou, celebrated the conclusion of its school year with a grand ceremony on Saturday, June 14. The event was marked by the rewarding of outstanding students, as observed by the AIB.



According to Burkina Information Agency, students, parents, and friends gathered in large numbers to witness the festivities, which included singing, dancing, recitations, ballet, and a karate demonstration. The best students, from CP1 to CM1, along with their teachers, were honored with bicycles, supplies, and trophies. Belt presentations were also conducted for karate grading, marking a successful end to the school year and a promising start to the next.



Naba S©bgo of Kourw©ogo, representing the traditional chiefs, praised the founder for his visionary approach in establishing ‘Les Grues Royales’. He extended blessings for the knowledge imparted at the school and emphasized forgiveness as a guiding principle for the staff to continue their educational mission.



Moussa Rouamba, the school’s promoter, highlighted the ceremony’s aim to enhance the school’s reputation globally. He reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to student development and emphasized the celebration’s theme, “social cohesion and civic-mindedness in schools”. Rouamba stressed the importance of fostering respect and courtesy among students, parents, and teachers to counter dishonorable practices often seen on social media.



Rouamba expressed his satisfaction with the event’s success, noting the school’s progress from its initial shortcomings, thanks to the collective efforts of all involved, particularly the teaching staff. The ceremony was enlivened by the performances of the popular artist Privat, adding to the joy of the occasion for the children.
