Ouagadougou: MC artist La Korektion, known by his real name Ollo Jean Luc Youl, has unveiled his latest album titled “Change,” which consists of eight tracks, during a press conference held on Monday, June 30. The album seeks to encourage young people to embrace meaningful change and evolution, aiming to bring happiness and prosperity to Africa.

According to Burkina Information Agency, La Korektion began his musical journey with his first album released in 2010. His new album, “Change,” was officially released on June 30, 2025, and was presented to members of the media. The album includes tracks such as “Black African Soldier,” which addresses themes of African unity and the silence of weapons, advocating against forces hindering the continent’s development.

“Change” serves as a revolutionary anthem, urging real transformation. It highlights Africa’s struggles with imperialism and calls for peace, dignity, and prosperity as the path forward. Another track, “Bad Times,” reflects on global challenges and promotes values of solidarity, humanity, love, and peace, essential for humanity’s salvation.

The track “AES Ode to the Confederation of Sahel States” resonates with the political aspirations of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger to combat terrorism and free themselves from imperialist influences. It honors the efforts and dedication of the region’s fighting forces.

In light of the album’s release, La Korektion announced an extensive promotional campaign involving media engagements, shows, and festivals both nationally and internationally. He also urged Burkinabe citizens worldwide to join and support him on this musical journey.
