Nahouri Peace Effort: Citizen Watch Coordination Provides Support to VDP

Nahouri: The High Commissioner of Nahouri Province, Si© Aristide Mohamed Kam, received this Friday, April 11, 2025, in P´, food and a financial envelope of 436,000 CFA francs, for the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of the province. The initiative is from the provincial coordination of citizen monitoring.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) from the five municipalities of the province of Nahouri received food consisting mainly of 16.5 tonnes of corn and a financial package of 436,000 CFA francs. The representative of the Nahouri Citizen Watch Coordination, Abdoulaye T. Avongo, stated that the population recognized the exceptional work done by the VDP under the leadership of their FDS leaders in securing the national territory.



“As Burkinabe, we should salute the daily efforts of our brave FDS and VDP. Also, since not everyone can be at the front, we who stayed at home, this is also our way of supporting them by providing them with food and fuel to enable them to move around,” said Mr. Avongo.



The High Commissioner of Nahouri Province, Si© Aristide Mohamed Kam, praised the civic vigil for this patriotic act. He invited the sons and daughters of the province to accompany the VDP because it is their commitment that allows the population to freely go about their activities.



The provincial coordinator of the VDP, Captain Seidou Abasse Niampa, for his part, maintained that this donation will be used for the defensive and offensive security actions to be carried out by the VDP.
