Baz¨ga: The new provincial director of the national police, Saidou Ouoba, was officially installed in his functions on Friday, January 17, 2025, in Kombissiri. The installation ceremony was presided over by the High Commissioner of the province, T©n© Justine Kient©ga/Ilboudo.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Saidou Ouoba, who holds the rank of Chief Commissioner of Police, was appointed to his new role by the Council of Ministers on December 26, 2024. He succeeds Chief Police Commissioner Mamadou Kot©, who has served as the interim provincial director since June 29, 2024, and also held the position of central commissioner for the city of Kombissiri.
In his speech, Ouoba paid tribute to his predecessors, acknowledging the security achievements under their tenure. He emphasized his reliance on the professionalism and team spirit of his colleagues to address upcoming challenges. “This appointment is both a privilege and a challenge that I am committed to meeting with rigor and determination,” he stated.
High Commissioner Kient©ga extended her congratulations to the newly appointed director, urging the police staff to support him in tackling the security issues facing the province. She also expressed gratitude to Mamadou Kot© for his service, highlighting his recent success in the ENAM professional competition, HR section.
