S©no: The Dori health district requested, on Friday, the support and commitment of administrative, customary and religious authorities, opinion leaders, and technical and financial partners in favor of the implementation of the vaccination campaign against typhoid fever, scheduled from January 23 to 29, 2029. From January 23 to 29, 2025, a vaccination campaign against typhoid fever will take place throughout the provincial territory of S©no.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Dr. Gr©goire Som©, representing the chief medical officer of the Dori health district, stated that this campaign aims to immunize 277,098 children aged 9 months to 14 years against this pathology commonly called dirty hands disease. In order to achieve this objective, Dr. Som© urged the participants to fully absorb the information related to this disease in order to convey the right message to the communities and avoid any reluctance.
Dr. Som© also explained that all necessary arrangements have been made to vaccinate the children of Falagountou, Seytenga, and Gorgadji. The High Commissioner of the province of S©no, Mr. Wulfran €š¬°mile Bamas, expressed gratitude to the technical and financial partners, whose contribution will enable this vaccination campaign to take place. For him, investing in the vaccination of children is investing in the future, because, more than a simple act, the protection of children is a civic duty.
It should be noted that during this vaccination campaign, more than 10,200,000 children aged 9 months to 14 years are targeted across the national territory.
