OUAGADOUGOU: The association Jeunes élèves et étudiants unis du Burkina Faso organized an awareness day focused on academic success for 6th-grade students at the Sainte Famille School Complex in Pissy. The event aimed to guide young students as they transition to high school, where they will encounter multiple teachers and a more complex educational environment.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Cheick Ahmed Tidiane Compaoré, president of the Young Students and United Students of Burkina Faso, emphasized the importance of the students’ environment for their success in secondary school. He highlighted the need for guidance for students new to high school to ensure their academic success.
The awareness day, held in Ouagadougou, marked the second edition of the event, themed ‘How to succeed in high school and choose the right people to associate with?’ Mr. Compaoré stressed that the development of Burkina Faso is closely linked to the discipline of its inhabitants, including students who must be part of
this progressive dynamic.
Mahamat Saleh Adoum, Chad’s ambassador to Burkina Faso and sponsor of the edition, praised the participation of students, noting the importance of preparing future leaders for both Burkina Faso and Africa. He expressed confidence that the advice provided during the event would prove beneficial to students in their future endeavors.
The event featured presentations from Eric René Sawadogo, who encouraged students to strive for excellence, and Zakaria Pacéré, a police lieutenant, who advised on discipline and safety. Michael Bandé, a student participant, expressed gratitude to the association for the initiative.
The event concluded with a certificate of recognition awarded to the managers of the Sainte Famille School Complex. The association, founded in 2021 and managed by a team of about twenty members, also contributed 2,025,000 CFA francs to the national peace effort and participated in an immersion activity at the National Training Center for Volunteers for the Defense of the Fa
therland in Banoogo.
