LUANDA,Angolan Defence Minister Joao Manuel Goncalves Lourenco leaves here Friday for Mbambane, Swaziland, to represent President Jose Eduardo dos Santos at the Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) on Saturday.
According to a media statement received here, the Defence Minister is leading a multi-sectoral delegation which will participate in the SADC Council of Ministers Meeting on Saturday, ahead of the Summit of Heads of State and Government.
Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Manuel Augusto, who is also part of the Angolan delegation, is already in Mbabane to attend the Council of Ministers meeting.
The summit will focus on the planned re-structuring of various SADC institutions.
The Angolan delegation also includes the Secretaries of State of the Ministries of Finance, Industry, Trade, Planning and Territorial Development and SADC national secretary.
