Burkina Faso: President Traoré has issued a directive to his ministers to rationalize their departments’ operating expenses, aiming to redirect the savings towards socio-economic projects that will benefit the general populace. During a public address at the raising of the national colors, he emphasized the importance of this fiscal strategy.

According to Burkina Information Agency, President Traoré highlighted the necessity of using the budget effectively to enable basic socio-economic investments. He stressed that every possible saving should be reinvested in initiatives that would directly benefit the people, such as ensuring access to drinking water and achieving food sovereignty, which remain pressing challenges for the country.
