The Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment, Anûuyirtole Roland Somda arrived in Mali where he will take part in the Stallions match against Malawi, in the launching ceremony of the international youth conference in Bamako, after attending this Monday the inauguration in Mopti of the Barema Bocum Stadium.
Arriving in the Malian capital on Sunday September 8, the Burkinabe Minister of Sports was welcomed by his counterpart from Mali, Abdoul Kassim Fomba and a delegation from the Burkinabe mission staying in Bamako with the Stallions.
This Monday, September 9, Roland Somda took part in Mopti, alongside his Malian counterpart, in the inauguration of the Barema BOCCOUM Stadium, recently approved by the African Football Confederation CAF.
This mission is part of the strengthening of cooperation in sports and youth between Mali and Burkina Faso, both members of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) according to the communications service of the Ministry of Sports.
During this Malian stay, Minister Somda will par
ticipate in the launching ceremony of the Bamako International Youth Conference. He will then visit sports infrastructure built in Bamako.
Finally, the stay of the Minister in charge of sports will be marked by the second match of the Stallions on Tuesday, September 10 against the Flames of Malawi. A match scheduled at the Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako and counting for the 2nd day of the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations CAN Morocco 2025.
