Burkina: Traffic on the Banfora-Ivory Coast border road interrupted (press release)


The rains of September 8 damaged the slab bridge between the Bérégadougou and Banfora crossroads, approximately 8 kilometers from Banfora, forcing a temporary interruption of traffic, according to a press release from the Ministry in charge of Infrastructure.

In a press release signed on September 9, 2024, the Ministry in charge of Infrastructure, informs that the national road n°7 connecting Bobo-Dioulasso-Banfora-Ivory Coast border was damaged, following the torrential rains yesterday Sunday, causing a momentary interruption of traffic.

Indicating that arrangements are underway to restore traffic, the ministry invites users to respect safety instructions and also informs them of the existence of a diversion route Banfora-Kiribina-Bérégadougou-RN07 branch (Bérégadougou crossroads).
