The High Commissioner of the Kourittenga province, Moctar Ilboudo, initiated, on Thursday, September 5, 2024 in Koupéla, a popular cross followed by an aerobics session, to promote rapprochement and collaboration between the vital forces, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of the province.

The civilian component, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), honored with their presence the sporting event initiated by the Kourittenga High Commission, held on September 5, 2024 in Koupéla.

According to the provincial director in charge of Sport, Sandaogo Yaogo, this (popular cross) will promote rapprochement and collaboration between the defense forces and the civilian populations.

‘Sport gives rise to the values ??of solidarity and social cohesion, especially since we are living in a difficult time with insecurity and we welcome this initiative at its true value,’ he added.

The High Commissioner of
the Kourittenga province, Moctar Ilboudo, praised all the constituted bodies who marked their presence at this sporting event and the commitment of the government for its actions in the reconquest of the territory.

‘We have set up this sporting event every Thursday of the month to allow our FDS, our VDP and all the civilian components to meet, rub shoulders and get to know each other,’ said Moctar Ilboudo.

For the High Commissioner, this will help to foster Frank and healthy collaboration, while at the same time defeating the terrorist hydra.

It should be noted that a popular civil-military cross-country race has now been established in the province of Kourittenga every month.
