Malawi/Swaziland: Coach Guiding Swaziland Club to Title Campaign

Malawian coach Meke Mwase is on track to end Mbabane Highlanders seven year title drought in the top Swaziland league.

Mwase's team is second in the league with games to play with just a point separating them with leaders Leopards who have 49 points.

Defending champions Mbabane Swallows are way off the mark to win a consecutive title.

The former Mighty Be Forward Wanderers and Bullets international defender 's team beat Lions 2-1 in their last outing to tighten their grip on the title bid.

The soft spoken former Malawi national team captain said they were determined to make history

"We may not know what tomorrow brings but we are working very hard so that we will the league title," Mwase said.

"The team last won the league title seven years ago and it would great for us to win again after such a long time."

Mwase who has played professional football in South Africa signed a one contract and has enjoyed rare reviews by Mbabane Highlanders fans.
