Yako, The High Commissioner of Passoré, Laurent K. Kontogom, officially installed, Friday in Yako, the new Provincial Director of Environment, Water and Sanitation (DPEEA), the water and forest inspector, Drissa Bancé , in her new role.
The water and forest inspector, Drissa Bancé, now has the difficult task of operationalizing the implementation of government policy on the environment, forests, wildlife, green economy and climate change in the Passoré province.
In front of environmental partner structures, fellow provincial directors, the military and paramilitary authorities of Passoré, as well as his collaborators, the new provincial director in charge of Environment, Water and Sanitation (DPEEA) of Passoré was officially installed on the morning of Friday October 20, 2023 by the High Commissioner of the Passoré province, Laurent K. Kontogom.
The new DPEEA of Passoré was appointed by the Council of Ministers during its meeting of October 4, 2023. He succeeds the Colonel of Water and Forests, Koudougou Kaboré, who will have led the department for approximately 5 years and 8 days.
Upon taking office, Inspector Bancé has already taken stock of the immensity of the mission that awaits him in this position.
However, he promised the provincial authority (High Commissioner) as well as his colleagues to remain available at all times and in any place if necessary during the exercise of his functions.
The incoming Director also indicated that he would direct, among other things, his action on the management of forest and wildlife resources in the province, as well as on compliance with the disciplinary regulations and the code of ethics of the paramilitary framework of water and forests in its territorial jurisdiction.
The outgoing provincial director, Koudougou Kaboré, for his part, expressed his thanks to his former collaborators, the populations, as well as all the constituted bodies of the province for their support and their frank collaboration under his direction.
Very satisfied with his management despite the difficult context that the country is going through in terms of insecurity, Colonel Kaboré nevertheless specified that he contributed to the training and monitoring-evaluation support of his staff, as well as to the organization reforestation campaigns for the benefit of local bodies.
During his mandate, he successfully set up a nursery within the management and organized a promotional day for non-wood forest products.
“I remember you as very disciplined and receptive collaborators,” he said to his former collaborators.
The representative of the water and forestry staff of the province, Amadou Diaby, simply recalled some of Koudougou Kaboré’s values, namely his dynamism, his probity, his sense of a job well done, all crowned with rigor and determination. .
The High Commissioner of Passoré, as well as the Regional Director in charge of the Northern Environment, Harouna Ouédraogo, expressed their gratitude to the outgoing director for the work accomplished during his visit to Passoré.
Both especially invited the new Director, Drissa Bancé, to favor dialogue, to be attentive and humble, while asking his collaborators and the populations to support him in carrying out the missions assigned to him. entrusted.
Let us recall that upon leaving Passoré, Koudougou Kaboré was appointed to the position of study manager at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of the Environment, Water and Sanitation, following the work of the Council of Ministers during its meeting on April 13, 2023.
