Sourou: The Provincial High School of Tougan contributes 135,025 F CFA francs to the peace effort The Provincial High School of Tougan handed over this Wednesday, October 30, 2024, to the President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune, the sum of 135,025 FCFA to support the peace effort in Burkina Faso.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial high school of Tougan in the province of Sourou presented a financial envelope of 135,025 F CFA to the President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune at the headquarters of the municipal police. This contribution aligns with a call from the prefect and president of the PDS of Tougan for the construction of watchtowers and combat posts.
Abdoulaye Touze Zina, head of the Provincial High School of Tougan, emphasized the symbolic nature of the contribution, highlighting the resilience of the province’s stakeholders. He stated, “Beyond the amount, it is above all the gesture that counts. It reflects our resilience, our solidarity, and our
sympathy towards the FDS and VDP.”
Zina further remarked that this donation marks a beginning, not an end, for the staff of the provincial high school. He praised the “resilient, conscientious, and hardworking” staff of the Tougan provincial high school for engaging in civic acts alongside their educational and administrative duties.
Ouiougou Tiendrébeogo, the PDS of the commune of Tougan, expressed appreciation for the high school’s contribution, noting its potential to aid in restoring peace in the province. He encouraged other establishments in the province of Sourou to emulate the high school’s initiative to support the construction of essential infrastructure for security in the commune of Tougan.
