Ouagadougou: The president of the Special Delegation of the urban commune of Leo, Kassoum Koalaga, launched the annual educational conference for preschool and primary school teachers at the grounds of the Kutian schools of Leo. The event was attended by the head of the basic education district (CCEB) of Leo, Abdramane Nignan, along with numerous educational supervisors.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the conference will span four days, during which teachers, divided across six sites at Kutian schools and the private Evangelique school, will focus on the theme: “Implementation of educational reforms and appropriation of integration situations.” The training is designed to facilitate the effective implementation of ongoing educational reforms.
In his opening remarks, the president of the Special Delegation relayed a message from the Minister of National Education, Literacy and the Promotion of National Languages, Jacques Sosthene Dingara. The message emphasized the importance of teachers’ commitment to the success of reforms initiated in 2013, which aim to align the Burkinabe education system with endogenous realities and values.
The minister’s message highlighted the goal of transforming Burkinabe schools into catalysts for endogenous development and the cultivation of patriotic and diligent citizens, in alignment with the Head of State’s vision.
Kassoum Koalaga also encouraged teachers to adopt the pedagogical innovations being introduced, urging them to consolidate the good results they have consistently achieved.
Participants promptly returned to their respective work sites, showcasing their dedication to applying the new knowledge, despite facing material constraints.
The educational conference is set to continue until October 18, 2025, across the national territory, as per the schedule set by the Ministry of National Education.
