Sebba: The Chief Inspector of the Sebba Basic Education District (CCEB) sent a letter of encouragement and recognition to all the teachers in his district on Tuesday, September 30, on the eve of the start of the school year.

According to Burkina Information Agency, in his message made public on September 30, the Chief Inspector praised the commitment of educators despite the security and social challenges facing the province of Yagha. The CCEB noted that while in other regions, school concerns are limited to supplies, uniforms, and tuition fees, in Yagha, teachers and residents face far more complex realities. Security difficulties, food scarcity, and mobility constraints are daily obstacles. Despite these challenges, teachers respond to the call of duty with determination.

The inspector emphasized that this commitment transcends mere courage, describing it as a true “priesthood.” Teachers are likened to torches lighting the way for the younger generation, at the cost of enormous sacrifices. He highlighted that their mission is not only educational but also patriotic, as they carry the hope of a part of the nation tested by insecurity.

Expressing gratitude, the CCEB assured its continued support for the teaching staff in their needs and requests. It also invoked blessings for the teachers’ families, who often endure separations due to assignments. The message concluded by acknowledging the indispensable role of teachers, wishing for a fruitful school year marked by hope and resilience.
