Bal©: The people of Yaho support their VDP and the Patriotic Support Fund with more than one million CFA francs and 4 tons of food: The people of the commune of Yaho collected and donated, on Friday, July 11, 2025, more than one million CFA francs and 4 tons of corn to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) and the Patriotic Support Fund. The donations were presented to the beneficiaries during an awareness-raising ceremony aimed at improving collaboration between civilians and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiators of this patriotic gesture reported that voluntary contributions made it possible to collect 39 bags of corn, each weighing 100 kg, as well as an envelope of 1,100,000 CFA francs. The amount collected was distributed as follows: 500,000 CFA francs for the commune’s VDPs and 600,000 francs paid into the account of the Patriotic Support Fund for the Bagassi tax collection. A copy of the payment receipt was submitted to the authorities.

The head of the special delegation, Ousmane Zezien, praised the people’s contribution. According to him, it was a patriotic act that was in line with the vision of the country’s highest authorities. He also emphasized that it demonstrated the people’s appreciation for the sacrifices made by the FDS and their moral support for the army.

The PDS Zezien thanked the various households for their contribution, which is so important, and which allows us to continue to galvanize all the fighting forces on the ground to reconquer the territory.

Addressing the FDS, Mr. Zezien affirmed: “We will not fail to provide our support to our defense and security forces.”
