Banwa: The youth of the rural commune of Kouka, located 42 km from Solenzo, made a significant contribution on Monday by donating a drone valued at over 4 million CFA francs and a sum of 150,000 CFA francs to the VDP and dozos of Kouka. This donation was made in the presence of the local population, customary and religious leaders, as well as the administrative authorities of the commune.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation included additional support for the families of the fallen VDPs, who each received a 50 kg bag of rice, a 5-litre can of oil, and an envelope containing 10,000 CFA francs. In total, the aid amounted to 7 bags of rice, 7 cans of oil, and 70,000 CFA francs.
This initiative was made possible through voluntary contributions from the local population, as explained by the municipal youth president, Soumadja Mamadou Sanou. He emphasized that the donation was a result of understanding and cohesion among the people of Kouka. He urged continued support for the VDPs and dozos, acknowledging their efforts in defending the homeland.
The act of providing food to the families of the victims was described by Sanou as a gesture of solidarity from the youth, honoring the memory of their fallen fighters.
