Ouagadougou: A 6th grade student, Manars© Josias Palogo, has demonstrated an exemplary act of civic responsibility by donating 6 packets of water, valued at 3,000 FCFA, to the Faso Mªbo initiative on Saturday. His contribution marks two years of dedication to the presidential initiative aimed at national development.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Palogo managed to save the donation amount through his work as a mechanic during the holidays. He received 3,000 CFA francs every evening from his boss and diligently set the money aside for this cause. Despite initial skepticism from his parents, who doubted his sincerity, Palogo remained committed to his goal.
Palogo explained that although his donation was intended to support peace efforts, he believed it also played a role in the broader development of Burkina Faso. The Faso Mªbo Presidential Initiative seeks to enhance urban development and facilitate the opening up of the country. It encourages the population to contribute in-kind donations such as cement, aggregates, tools, and various construction products for nation-building purposes.
