Burkina Faso Hosts Niger vs. Congo Match at August 4 Stadium

Ouagadougou: The Niger Football Federation (FENIFOOT) is urging Burkinabe football fans to come out in full force at the August 4 Stadium on Wednesday, October 8, to support Niger’s national team, the Mena, as they face the Congolese Red Devils in the 9th day of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers for Group E.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Nigerien Football Federation is taking steps to ensure high attendance by distributing free entrance tickets. Fans can collect these tickets starting Tuesday, October 7, at 8 a.m. from various locations including the headquarters of the Burkinabe Football Federation (FBF), the Issoufou Joseph Conombo Municipal Stadium, and the Embassy of the Republic of Niger.



In the current standings of Group E, Niger holds the 3rd position with 9 points, trailing behind Morocco with 21 points and Tanzania with 10 points. Zambia follows in 4th place with 6 points, while Congo is in 5th with just 1 point. Eritrea, yet to play a match, sits at the bottom with 0 points. As Niger prepares to take on Congo, Tanzania is set to play against Zambia. Meanwhile, the scheduled match between Eritrea and Morocco has been canceled.
