Ouagadougou: The Ministry of Civil Service in Burkina Faso has unveiled significant changes for the 2025 recruitment competitions, with written tests for general practitioners and topographic design engineers now moving online. Suanyaba Rodrigue Oboulbiga, president of the national steering committee for the competitions, announced this shift on Friday, marking a departure from the traditional method that was typically reserved for competitions with fewer than 500 applicants.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the decision to administer tests online for the competitions with 911 and 799 candidates for general practitioners and topographic design engineers respectively, represents a step towards modernizing the recruitment process. This initiative expands the scope of online exams beyond its previous limits, aiming to enhance the efficiency of the testing process.
In addition to the online testing, another innovation introduced by Mr. Oboulbiga is the organization of candidates in examination rooms based on the chronological order of their receipt numbers. This new arrangement is intended to simplify the logistics of candidate placement and to reinforce fraud prevention measures.
Furthermore, the allocation of candidates to different juries will also be managed through receipt number ranges, emphasizing the importance of these numbers for identification purposes during the exams. Mr. Oboulbiga highlighted the need for candidates to be attentive to their receipt numbers, as they will be crucial for identifying exam copies.
These reforms are part of an ongoing effort to improve the organization of recruitment competitions, ensuring they are more transparent, efficient, and secure. The Ministry is committed to maintaining a fair and streamlined process for all applicants.
