Rabat: The Burkina Faso Stallions A’ were defeated on Saturday evening at the Mohamed VI Sports Center in Rabat, Morocco, by the Atlas Lions A’ of Morocco, with a score of 2-1. This match served as a warm-up for the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN), as reported by the Burkinabe Football Federation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the lone goal for the Burkinabe team was netted by Papus Nasser Ouattara during the 76th minute of the game. The Stallions A’ are scheduled to face the Atlas Lions once more in another test match on July 24th.
The Burkina Faso squad has been stationed in Morocco since July 17th to gear up for the CHAN, which will take place in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from August 2nd to 30th. Burkina Faso is set to play the opening match and is placed in Group B, along with the Central African Republic, Madagascar, Mauritania, and Tanzania.
