Rabat: The Burkina Faso Stallions A’ faced a defeat on Saturday evening at the Mohamed VI Sports Center in Rabat, Morocco, as they were bested by the Atlas Lions A’ of Morocco with a score of 2-1 in a warm-up match for the African Nations Championship (CHAN), as reported by the Burkinabe Football Federation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Stallions A’ managed to score a solitary goal through Papus Nasser Ouattara in the 76th minute. The team is set to engage in another preparatory match against the local Atlas Lions on July 24th.
The Burkinabe squad has been stationed in Morocco since July 17th to gear up for the CHAN tournament, which is scheduled to take place across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from August 2nd to 30th. Burkina Faso will participate in the tournament’s opening match and has been placed in Group B alongside the Central African Republic, Madagascar, Mauritania, and Tanzania.
