Niangoloko: Following a heartfelt appeal from the Departmental Coordination of Women of Niangoloko, residents gathered on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, to address the deteriorating condition of the Koutoura bridge. This vital link in Kouyoura village, part of the Commune of Niangoloko along the RN7, Niangoloko-Banfora route, had become a significant hazard due to numerous potholes.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the mobilization saw the involvement of the Defense and Security Forces, who assisted the volunteers in their efforts. The bridge, noted as one of the most damaged areas on the route, posed a challenge to traffic flow and required drivers to exercise heightened caution.
The women’s call for action spurred a remarkable display of community solidarity. Contributions of essential materials such as wild stones, gravel, cement, and water were generously provided by the local populace.
The Departmental Women’s Coordination extended heartfelt thanks to all the citizens of Niangoloko for their voluntary participation and patriotic spirit, highlighting this initiative as a commendable example of active citizenship dedicated to the collective welfare.
