Ouagadougou: The Secretary General of the Ministry of Civil Service, Labor and Social Protection commended the organization of the recent civil service competition, emphasizing the strict adherence to schedules, coordinated national efforts, and the absence of major disruptions.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Rodrigue Suanyaba Oboulbiga, the president of the organizing committee and Secretary General of the Ministry, highlighted the seamless execution of the competition at a press conference held on Thursday, October 10, 2025. He praised the entire process, from the composition of exams to the deliberation, noting that the competitions were conducted without significant incidents.

Between July 20 and August 10, 2025, 185 direct competitive examinations were administered, including 54 online and 131 electronically corrected. These examinations aimed to fill more than 7,000 positions, aligned with the Council of Ministers’ authorization on January 22, 2025, for the recruitment of 11,404 public employees, including professional competitions.

Mr. Oboulbiga stated that the 42 juries completed their work timely, enabling the publication of results on September 30, 2025, as committed. He also noted the successful innovations of this session, including online administration of competitions for general practitioners and design engineers, with 911 and 799 candidates, respectively.

The practical organization was enhanced by the chronological distribution of candidates based on receipt numbers, facilitating the process. The timely execution of these tasks allows vocational training establishments to resume harmoniously between October 13 and 20, 2025, preventing job losses and managing waiting lists efficiently.

The ministry urged candidates admitted to multiple competitions to swiftly indicate their preferences, allowing other candidates to fill the available positions.
