Bousse: The Ecole au Sahel Burkina (EAS-BF) association distributed school and hygiene kits to 232 sponsored children and students in Bousse. This initiative aims to support the academic journey of children from vulnerable families and strengthen the education system in Kourweogo province.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the distribution ceremony took place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the association’s headquarters in Bousse, with provincial authorities responsible for primary education and humanitarian action in attendance. The beneficiaries received essential school supplies, learning materials, and hygiene kits to ensure a productive start to the school year.

Christophe Kabore, the EAS-BF coordinator in Kourweogo, stated that this activity is part of the annual academic support program by the association. He emphasized the goal of offering better opportunities for academic success to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. “Beyond providing supplies, the association supports children throughout the year through educational, health, and nutritional support, as well as home visits to strengthen family involvement,” said Kabore. He highlighted that this comprehensive approach helps prevent school dropout risks and promotes individual success.

Hyacinthe Ky, the provincial director in charge of primary education in Kourweogo, praised the association’s efforts. He noted that EAS-BF’s support contributes significantly to achieving the province’s educational objectives. Ky urged parents and guardians to actively monitor their children’s progress at home and school.

Marie Sawadogo, a mother of two beneficiaries, expressed her gratitude towards the association and its partners. She acknowledged that the kits enable her children to attend classes under favorable conditions, alleviating financial burdens and motivating the family to strive for academic success.
