FAAPA Hosts Seminar to Enhance Photojournalism Skills for African Journalists

Rabat: The Atlantic Federation of African Press Agencies (FAAPA) conducted a training seminar from September 29 to October 3, 2025, in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, focused on equipping media professionals with advanced photojournalism techniques.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the five-day session welcomed 25 participants from various African news agencies, including the Burkina Faso Information Agency (AIB). The seminar provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions on modern photojournalism techniques, ethical issues, and the integration of new technologies in visual information gathering and dissemination.



Participants concluded the seminar by forming the Network of Photojournalists of African Press Agencies (RPJ-FAAPA), aimed at fostering cooperation and experience sharing to promote the photojournalism profession within the Federation.



Fouad Arif, Director General of the Moroccan Press Agency (MAP) and President of FAAPA, lauded the quality of the discussions and reiterated the Federation’s dedication to continuous training activities for African media professionals. The seminar concluded with a closing ceremony on October 3, 2025, where certificates of participation were awarded to the trainees.
