Bali: The municipality of Fara has prioritized investments in the environment and water sectors between 2022 and 2024. The Special Delegation of the municipality of Fara convened for the 3rd session of its Consultation framework on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, to review the investments made during this period.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session served as a platform for transparency in municipal affairs, with participation from representatives of socio-professional groups and the high commissioner of the province, Martin Bako. The Secretary General of the town hall, Mohamadi Zongo, presented the investment report for 2022, 2023, and 2024, revealing that 143,774,948 FCFA were allocated to projects in education, health, road infrastructure, lowland development, gardens, and streetlights. These funds originated from sources including the local development mining fund, PGPC/REDD+, the municipal budget, and PUDTR.
The environment and water sectors received the most significant portion of investments, followed closely by education. Upcoming projects include the construction of a conference room at the town hall, a vaccination park, and a multi-purpose sports complex at the Zonou Issa municipal stadium.
Interactive discussions during the session highlighted the importance of unity among the community members for successful endogenous development. Recommendations were made by local authorities to enhance the involvement of the populace in local development activities.
The Prefect and president of the special delegation, Aloys Ouango, opened the session with welcoming remarks. The High Commissioner, as a special guest, encouraged the community to support governmental initiatives and contribute to local development efforts.
