Nahouri: The municipality of Guiaro celebrates the best actors in education this Saturday, October 4, 2025. The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Guiaro, Monique Bazie, presided over the ceremony where 21 winners from various levels of the communal education system were awarded prizes.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was held to promote merit in both primary and secondary education within the commune of Guiaro, located approximately thirty kilometers west of Po. The event recognized the achievements of 21 outstanding teachers and students from different levels of the municipal education system.

The top four girls and boys in the CEP were each awarded a bike and a school kit, similar to the first two students in the BEPC. For the top two students in the BAC, they received an envelope containing 25,000 CFA francs to aid in their preparation for the upcoming academic year.

Monique Bazie, president of the special delegation of the commune of Guiaro, encouraged the community’s daughters and sons to continue this tradition in response to the call from the Head of State for all Burkinabe to contribute to the nation’s development. This ceremony marked the first time in over ten years that the best actors in education were recognized with prizes.

The successful execution of this activity was appreciated by education stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the merit of education contributors. The event was sponsored by notable figures including Poumon Yogo, Boureima Ouandiagabou, Kassoum Oulon, and Martial Drabo.
