Guiriko: Presidency of the TGI of Bobo-dioulasso: Bourahima Seogo Takes the Controls

Guiriko: The Bobo-Dioulasso High Court (TGI) has appointed a new president, Mr. Bourahima Seogo, who was officially installed in his role during a formal ceremony held in the court’s courtroom. He takes over from Jean Desire Narcisse Combary, who has moved on to other roles.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the inauguration event saw attendance from numerous judicial, administrative, military, and paramilitary officials, along with relatives, friends, and colleagues of Mr. Seogo. This gathering was a show of support for the new leader of the judiciary in Burkina Faso’s second largest city.



Mr. Bourahima Seogo, a career magistrate since 2006, holds a Master’s degree in law, a Diploma of Advanced Studies in fundamental private law, and graduated from the National School of Administration and Magistracy. He has served in various capacities, including as a judge at the High Court of Tougan, a judge at the TGI of Bobo-Dioulasso, and president of the TGI of Diebougou, before becoming vice-president of the TGI of Bobo-Dioulasso.



With 19 years dedicated to Burkinabe justice, Mr. Seogo now assumes the presidency of the High Court of Bobo-Dioulasso. Various legal professionals, including the Public Prosecutor of Faso at the Bobo-Dioulasso High Court, praised his appointment, highlighting his human and professional values. His predecessor, Jean Desire Combary, also commended him for his competence and experience, urging sector stakeholders to support him.



In his address, Bourahima Seogo thanked the highest judicial authorities for their trust and committed to modernizing and enhancing the credibility of the justice system. He emphasized his intention to make the judicial institution more accessible to litigants.
