High Commissioner Jean Baptiste Beogo Leads Flag-Raising Ceremony at Bogande Provincial High School

Gnagna: The High Commissioner of Gnagna Province, Jean Baptiste Beogo, presided over a solemn raising of the colors at the Bogande Provincial High School on Monday, October 6, 2025. The activity, instituted by the government and organized every first Monday of the month, mobilized a crowd.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony brought together administrative, educational, military, and paramilitary authorities, as well as members of citizen watch committees. All responded to the call of the flag, a symbol of national unity and living together.



In his speech, High Commissioner Jean Baptiste Beogo referenced the President of Faso’s speech, emphasizing the educational and civic significance of reinforcing the values of patriotism. He stated that “the raising of the colors is a strong act which aims to instill in young people respect for the symbols of the Republic, discipline and love of the homeland.”



Addressing the students, the provincial leader urged them to attend school regularly, participate diligently in classes, and respect their teachers, which are key to academic success and civic education. He also encouraged the first batch of graduates to demonstrate discipline, rigor, and dedication in their universities and wherever they may be.



The High Commissioner congratulated the educational sector for the positive results achieved over the past year, while urging them to strive for even better performance during the 2025-2026 school year. Before concluding his speech, Mr. Beogo wished all students, teachers, and supervisors a good start to the school year, acknowledging the strong mobilization around this civic activity.



On the sidelines of the ceremony, it was announced that a sanitation day would be held on October 11, 2025, in the town of Bogande, initiated by the Prefect, president of the special delegation.
