Mouhoun: The Kiensere public primary school in the commune of Safane served as the setting for the official launch ceremony for the 2025-2026 school year. The meeting was chaired by the President of the Safane Special Delegation (PDS), Ali Traore. The activity was held under the banner of ongoing educational reforms.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the school year was launched in the presence of administrative, customary, and religious authorities, heads of technical services, as well as young people immersed in the 2025 class. The President of the special delegation (PDS) of Safane, Ali Traore, urged teachers to make this return to school a collective success.

He stressed the need for increased professional discipline, rigorous implementation of reforms, and a constant commitment to ensuring quality education. “Working seriously and implementing reforms means offering our children a dignified and promising education,” said Mr. Traore.

The theme chosen for this new school year, “Educational reforms for quality education and training for all: challenges and perspectives”, illustrates the authorities’ desire to rebuild the national education system on solid, inclusive, and sustainable foundations. By placing educational reforms at the heart of this new school year, the municipality of Safane reaffirms its ambition to make schools a space for social transformation, cohesion, and excellence.

The ceremony was attended by the department’s constituent bodies, including administrative, customary, and religious authorities, heads of technical services, as well as young people from the 2025 class. This strong mobilization demonstrates the importance given to education as a central pillar of local development.
