Komondjari: The High Commissioner of the Komondjari province, Mr. Valentin Gnanou, took proactive measures to ensure the effective commencement of the 2025-2026 academic year by visiting several schools in Gayeri. During his tour on Wednesday, he assessed the readiness of educational institutions and motivated those involved in the education sector.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Gnanou was pleased to see a large turnout of students and their supervisors at the schools he visited. He emphasized the crucial role education plays in development and called on teachers to exert extra effort to address current challenges. He also encouraged students to focus on diligence and discipline throughout the academic year.
Mr. Ouoba Issa, the headmaster of Oue school, appreciated the High Commissioner’s initiative, stating that the visit provided comfort and motivation to educators to improve student outcomes. He affirmed the school’s commitment to working selflessly to enhance student performance.
Students expressed excitement about returning to school. Manli Alima, a student in CM1, shared her eagerness to advance to the next grade, CM2, by working hard this year. Parents, represented by Ouali Francis of the Parents’ Association, also expressed their support and urged their children to strive hard despite challenges, recognizing the importance of education for the province’s future.
