Koulpelogo: The Basic Education District (CEB) of Dourtenga, in the province of Koulpelogo, commemorated on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Dourtenga ‘A’ primary school, the Patriotic Commitment Day, in the presence of educational supervisors, teachers and the District Chief, Armand Noukoubri.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was marked by the solemn raising of the national colours, a symbolic act that reminds students and educational staff of their duty to the homeland. The CCEB stated that the commemoration aimed to instill in children the values of civic duty, discipline, and love of the nation, which are essential for building a responsible and united society.

Mr. Noukoubri emphasized that school remains a privileged framework for the transmission of civic values and that Patriotic Commitment Day constitutes an opportunity to raise awareness and mobilize around the national ideal. Participants reaffirmed their desire to contribute, each at their own level, to the promotion of patriotism within the educational community, with an emphasis on the training of citizens who are aware and respectful of their duties.
