Kourittenga: New Members Join the Special Delegation

Ouagadougou: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Koupela, Moumouni Sagnon, chaired the 3rd ordinary session of the year in Koupela, where one of the main agenda items was the presentation and approval of the mandate of two new members.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the session took place on Monday, September 29, 2025, and began with the introduction of the new members. The new appointees include Taram Kassoum, the head of the technical support zone in livestock farming in Koupela, who previously served in Pouytenga. Kassoum replaces Adama Konobo, who has been reassigned to Pouytenga. Additionally, Lela Traore/Barry has been appointed as the head physician of the Koupela urban medical center, succeeding Boureima Kientega.



The special delegation of Koupela comprises 18 members, with representation from the town hall, religious and customary authorities, technical agents from various services, and associations or NGOs. President Moumouni Sagnon urged the new members to dedicate themselves to their roles for the benefit of the community, highlighting the significance of the livestock sector in rural development. He emphasized the need for committed technicians to drive projects and enhance animal production.



Sagnon also expressed appreciation for the new chief physician’s arrival, underlining the health sector’s vital role in executing community projects. He encouraged collaborative efforts to ensure the success of health initiatives.



Lela Traore/Barry, grateful for her appointment, expressed eagerness to tackle health sector challenges with collective support. Kassoum Taram, who has been in Koupela since March 2025, expressed pride in joining the delegation and pledged full cooperation and dedication to the team.
