Kourweogo: On the occasion of the second edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC), the High Commissioner of the province of Kourweogo, Mahamadi Congo, urged the population to strengthen their sense of patriotism through the preservation of public property and the uncompromising fight against corruption and racketeering.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the second phase of the days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation was launched by the High Commissioner, Mahamadi Congo. He welcomed the growing patriotic awakening among the population, marked by collective actions such as the Patriotic Support Fund, the Faso Mebo program, popular shareholding, and the Patriotic Immersion of Youth. These initiatives reflect the will of the Burkinabe to build a sovereign, just, and prosperous nation.

However, the High Commissioner noted that this dynamic cannot prosper without discipline, probity, and responsibility. “Any act of willful damage or culpable negligence is a betrayal of our Revolution,” warned Mr. Congo, stressing that every public property destroyed is “one less service for the people.”

Mahamadi Congo warned against practices of corruption, racketeering, and embezzlement of state resources, which he considers to be serious obstacles to collective progress. “Anyone who extorts money from the people or embezzles the state’s meager resources is not a revolutionary: he is the enemy of the Fatherland,” he insisted.

While calling for exemplary behavior in neighborhoods, services, units, and administrations, the province’s top official invited every citizen to develop reflexes of discipline and respect for order. “The Revolution cannot place an agent of the Laabal brigade behind every citizen,” he recalled, stressing that real change depends above all on individual patriotic awareness.

“Together, let us make Faso a land where order, discipline, probity, and justice reign,” concluded the High Commissioner, reaffirming his commitment to the ideal of a sovereign and dignified Burkina Faso.

The second phase was marked by a conference led by the Provincial Director in charge of Youth, Sayouba Ouedraogo. In his communication, the DP addressed the audience on various themes such as the popular progressive revolution, presidential reforms and initiatives, and political, cultural, and economic opportunities for young people within the framework of the confederation of Sahel states.

The program for the next two weeks includes sanitation and solidarity actions for the defense and security forces as well as for volunteers for the defense of the homeland in the various municipalities.
