Kaya: A training session aimed at strengthening the skills of stakeholders in the Regional Council’s expenditure chain commenced on July 14, 2025, in Kaya. This initiative focuses on the effective management of public resources through the use of AEDOB and AEDOC tools in the preparation of budget documents and accounts.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session was inaugurated by Noufoun Ouattara, Secretary General of the Regional Council, on behalf of the President of the Kuils© Regional Special Delegation (PDSR). The training is designed to acquaint financial chain actors with AEDOB and AEDOC tools, essential for budgetary documentation and local authority accounts.
From July 14 to 18, 2025, facilitators R. Sokoba Ramd©, Director of Financial Supervision of Local Authorities, and Bal©bi© Olivier Georges Bamouni, Head of the Local Finance Analysis and Statistics Department, will guide around thirty participants through the tools’ usage.
In the opening address, the President of the Regional Special Delegation, through the Secretary General, highlighted the significance of these tools as innovations in budgeting and account-rendering processes for local authorities. The tools aim to enhance efficiency, transparency, and compliance with current regulations.
The five-day training will include presentations on AEDOB and AEDOC tools, practical administrative and management account exercises, and discussions on the budgeting process for local authorities in Burkina Faso.
While AEDOB and AEDOC tools have been available since 2023, challenges in their effective application persist. Hence, strengthening resource management capacities is crucial for improved governance, as noted by the PDSR.
The training session is seen as a platform to address existing knowledge gaps and exchange best practices in financial management. Participants have been encouraged to engage actively to maximize the benefits of the training.
