Leo: The monthly flag-raising ceremony took on a special character this Thursday, October 2, 2025, in Leo. For this month of October, the event was held within the High Commission, under the chairmanship of the Secretary General of the Sissili province, Baowind-Sida Bingo. He was surrounded, for the occasion, by the constituted bodies, administrative authorities, and the active forces of the province.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this ceremony is part of the launch of the second phase of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Civic Participation (JEPPC), scheduled for October 2 to 16, 2025. Under the theme “For order and discipline, I commit myself,” these days aim to strengthen national cohesion and civic spirit.

The highlight of this flag-raising ceremony was the solemn reading of the message from the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore, addressed to the population. In this message, the President of Faso forcefully recalled the values and ideals of the Progressive and Popular Revolution (RPP).

He stressed the need for unwavering mobilization against corruption and racketeering, and called on every Burkinabe to take responsibility, emphasizing that building a prosperous and secure nation requires sanitation, civic-mindedness, in short, order and discipline.

At the end of the ceremony, the Secretary General recalled the concrete actions to be taken: “Everyone must, as the Head of State emphasized, clean up their environment, denounce acts of corruption or racketeering, respect the highway code and public property,” insisted Baowind-Sida Bingo.

The audience, composed of committed citizens and government officials, listened closely to the message. The call for order and discipline, the pillars of the JEPPC theme, resonated favorably with the participants.

“As a teacher, I will begin by raising awareness among children and parents about the values enshrined by the President of Burkina Faso. And I will implement them myself,” said Ms. Nongueghagma/Napon Raicha Maimouna, who attended the ceremony.

At the end of the event, it was with a renewed sense of pride and civic duty that the participants parted ways, returning to their respective departments and activities, while taking with them the Head of State’s call to resolutely commit to the future of Burkina Faso.

This rise of colors thus marked, in Leo, the solemn start of two weeks of reflection and civic actions.
