Lieutenant Colonel Mamadou Go Takes Command of 2nd Fire and Rescue Group

Houet: Lieutenant Colonel Mamadou Go officially took command of the second Fire and Rescue Group (GIS 2) of the National Fire Brigade (BNSP) in Bobo-Dioulasso on Thursday, promising to work hard to serve the population.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was presided over by the Commander of the BNSP, Colonel Daba Naon, in the presence of the Governor of the Guiriko region, as well as various military, paramilitary, administrative, customary, and religious authorities.



Now at the helm of GIS 2, which encompasses the Fire and Rescue Companies of the Guiriko, Tannounyan, and Djoro regions, Lieutenant Colonel Mamadou Go has committed to working with “ardor, dedication, and loyalty” to serve the populations under his responsibility.



Colonel Daba Naon, the Commander of the BNSP, urged the new group leader to maintain the momentum of efficiency and proximity that the institution has already initiated, while also emphasizing the importance of strengthening discipline and esprit de corps within the units.



The Fire and Rescue Groups were created by presidential decree on February 6, 2024, with the objective of enhancing the operational coverage and responsiveness of firefighters across the national territory.
