Fada n’gourma: Mahamed Dielo officially took over the reins of the High Court (TGI) of Fada N’Gourma on October 7, 2025, during an extraordinary and solemn hearing held at the courthouse in the city of Yendabli. Appointed on July 17, 2025, by decree appointing magistrates and court presidents, Dielo now serves as both the president of the Fada N’Gourma TGI and the administrative court.
According to Burkina Information Agency, following his installation, Dielo expressed his desire to make justice more accessible to the public. He emphasized the importance of opening up the justice system to anyone in need of asserting their rights. Dielo encouraged the public to engage with the court, assuring them of the court’s availability to deliver justice.
Dielo also urged the residents within the jurisdiction of the court, including Gourma, Kompienga, and Komondjari, to avoid taking justice into their own hands, which he described as a source of disorder and chaos. He encouraged them to rely on competent authorities for legal matters.
His mandate is focused on strengthening trust between the justice system and litigants. He called for the support of his colleagues to achieve this mission. The prosecutor of the Fada N’Gourma TGI, Salam Ouedraogo, highlighted the importance of the formal hearing for the installation of a court president, as it is a requirement of the judicial code. Ouedraogo noted that this ceremony strengthens the ties between judge, justice, and litigants.
Addressing the challenges faced by the new president, the prosecutor mentioned ongoing efforts by authorities to make justice more accessible, credible, and equitable. Ouedraogo urged Dielo to embrace the ongoing reforms, work towards reducing prison overcrowding, and promote social cohesion and living together.
Before his appointment to Fada N’Gourma, Mahamed Dielo served as vice-president of the Ouahigouya High Court and the administrative court in the same locality. With multiple master’s degrees, including a master’s degree in law, he succeeds Fatogoma Hema, who served as head of the high court of Fada N’Gourma for three years before being assigned to other functions.
