Mouhoun: The Head of the Kona Basic Education District (CCEB), Frederic Sama, chaired a preparatory meeting at School A, marking the launch of activities for the 2025-2026 school year. Education stakeholders convened on Friday, October 3, 2025, to assess the past year’s outcomes and strategize for the upcoming academic year.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Sama commended the dedication of teachers, school principals, educational supervisors, and administrative staff, highlighting an 87% success rate in the Primary School Certificate (CEP) from the last session. This outcome is seen as a testament to the commitment of those involved in overcoming educational challenges.
The CCEB emphasized that the maintenance of schoolyards falls under the responsibility of parents, urging principals to engage families in creating a healthy environment from the onset of classes. Innovations were also discussed, with Moumini Zango noting the gradual introduction of English and the promotion of preschool, emphasizing IT and English as crucial for contemporary learning demands.
The CEB called on school leaders to ensure schools are equipped with the necessary resources to implement these reforms. Aser Dakuo presented a reading on the establishment of school councils, which will replace traditional structures like APE, AME, and COGES, urging directors to engage parents for effective implementation.
For future prospects, the CCEB stressed the importance of timely processing and transmission of administrative correspondence. Before concluding the meeting, Mr. Sama expressed his gratitude to participants and encouraged them to work collaboratively for a productive 2025-2026 school year, aiming to inspire hope among students.
