Mouhoun: As part of the presidential program for a better Burkina, the commune of Kona, Mouhoun province, officially launched the second phase of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation, under the chairmanship of the President of the special delegation, Ali Sanou. Constituted bodies, public and private sector actors, as well as numerous citizens, gathered in the grounds of the Kona departmental high school for this significant event.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the national anthem, sung with fervor and dignity, marked the raising of the colors, reflecting the pride and attachment of the participants to the Nation. The President of the special delegation of the commune of Kona, Ali Sanou, welcomed the strong mobilization of the population and recalled the theme chosen for the 2025 edition: “For order and discipline, I commit myself.”
He stressed that order and discipline are the foundations of any harmonious development, urging citizens to carry out concrete acts of patriotism and civic-mindedness throughout the period from October 2 to 16. Justifying the choice of the departmental high school as the launch site, the administrative authority insisted on the central role of youth in the building of Burkina Faso.
“Young people are the future of our nation. They must be educated in order and discipline to become responsible citizens,” he said, before inviting students to cultivate respect for teachers and elders, a guarantee of authentic civic participation. Ali Sanou also called on all the people of the commune to participate massively in the planned activities, in order to make Kona a resolutely committed and prosperous commune, thus contributing to the construction of a stronger and more united Burkina Faso.
