Dedougou: As part of the second phase of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation, the solemn raising of the colors on the occasion of the start of the 2025-2026 school year took place on Monday, October 6, 2025, in Dedougou. The ceremony brought together members of the government, constituted bodies from the Bankui region, as well as many actors from the educational world.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was intended to be a moment of national communion and reaffirmation of the values of patriotism, discipline, and devotion to the Nation. Following the raising of the colours, the Minister in charge of Secondary Education, Dr. Boubacar Savadogo, delivered the message from the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, addressed to the Burkinabe people.

He urged citizens to exercise discipline, probity, and responsibility in carrying out their daily duties. Dr. Boubacar Savadogo recalled that the protection of public property and the relentless fight against corruption and racketeering remain major priorities of the government.

The minister stressed that any act of negligence, embezzlement, or compromise in the management of public resources constitutes a betrayal of the Revolution and the Burkinabe people. He thus invited every citizen to embody integrity and serve as a role model for younger generations.

Minister Savadogo expressed the wish for a peaceful, studious, and civic-minded return to school, placed under the sign of patriotism, work well done, and love of the Fatherland.
