Nahouri: The village of Saro, located about ten km southwest of Guiaro-Centre, has recently seen the commencement of a new Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) project. This development marks a significant step in improving access to healthcare for the local populations who previously had to travel considerable distances to reach medical facilities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the infrastructure includes various essential facilities such as staff accommodation, a dispensary, a maternity ward, a common service, and a shelter for accompanying persons. These additions are expected to significantly enhance the healthcare services available to the residents of Saro and surrounding areas.

The project, which is part of a broader initiative by the Ministry of Health to establish 25 health facilities across the nation, is currently managed by Jonas Nitiema. Mr. Nitiema reported a completion rate of 26.75% with an execution timeline of eight months. This initiative includes two facilities within the province of Nahouri, aiming to bolster the healthcare infrastructure throughout the region.

Boutie Zibare, the president of the Village Council for Development (CVD) of Saro, expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the construction. He emphasized the importance of timely delivery for the benefit of the residents of Guiaro and Saro, highlighting the positive impact the new center is expected to have on the community’s well-being.
