New Chief Physician Emmanuel Sankara Vows to Tackle Health Challenges in Sourou

Sourou: The new chief physician of the Urban Medical Center (MCU), general practitioner Emmanuel Sankara, indicated Thursday, during his installation, that he will work to provide quality care to patients. The Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) of sector 2 of Tougan, commonly called CSPS Kouroukan, is now an Urban Medical Center and is headed by the general practitioner, Dr. Emmanuel Sankara.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Dr. Sankara promised to work to provide quality care to the people of Sourou during his installation by the first vice-president of the special communal delegation, Siaka Boro. “Health workers, with the support of partners, have always worked to provide quality care to the people of Sourou, despite the constraints they face. I am not here to command, but to serve. I am not here to impose, but to discuss with you the proper functioning of the CMU,” he stated.



Dr. Sankara emphasized his commitment to collaborating with stakeholders, colleagues, communities, and partners with transparency, rigor, and responsibility to ensure quality care for the local population. The Chief Medical Officer of the Tougan District, J©r´me NIKIEMA, highlighted that this appointment aligns with the priorities of the country’s highest authorities, who aim to strengthen medical services at the frontline.



Siaka Boro, the first vice-president of the special delegation, congratulated Dr. Sankara on his new role as the head doctor of the CMU of Tougan and extended his best wishes for success in his new responsibilities.
