Nahouri/health: The new infrastructure of the CMA of Po is now operational: The new infrastructure of the Medical Center with surgical antenna (CMA) of Po, was put into service this Monday, October 6, 2025.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the newly constructed facilities at the Po Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA), which faced multiple delays since its inception in 2017, are now fully operational. This significant development includes a range of essential healthcare facilities, from a morgue to pediatrics and maternity wards, all set to serve the local population efficiently.
Dr. Boukare Wanre, the head physician of the Po health district, expressed his relief and satisfaction with the new facilities. He emphasized the positive impact on both staff and patients, noting that the upgraded environment enhances comfort and operational capability. Dr. Charlotte Nikiema/Kiendrebeogo, head of pediatrics, highlighted the spaciousness and improved conditions, which are conducive to providing optimal healthcare services.
Additionally, Mady Nebie, a manager in the maternity ward, shared the collective enthusiasm for the new infrastructure. Nebie underscored the satisfaction and motivation among the staff resulting from the commissioning of the new facilities.
Dr. Wanre also commended the efforts of everyone involved in realizing the project and urged both healthcare workers and the community to maintain the high standards of the new facilities. He encouraged them to act responsibly to preserve the infrastructure, which is highly valued by the Nahouri population.
