Yako: The Secretary General of the Province (SGP) of Passore, Noelie Berehoumdougou/Kabore, representing the High Commissioner of the province, officially launched the work of the second edition of the Pedagogical Days for Secondary Education Teachers on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in Yako.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the second edition of the pedagogical days for secondary school teachers in Passore province took place from October 7 to 10, 2025. This event brought together approximately 1,200 teachers, categorized into four groups by discipline, from high schools and colleges across the province. The four-day training aims to equip teachers on the “implementation of reforms at the Ministry of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training.”
During the event, Noelie Berehoumdougou/Kabore praised all stakeholders for the satisfactory results achieved in recent school exams, despite the challenging security situation in certain localities of the province. She expressed her appreciation for the dedication of teachers, inspectors, and educational staff who continue to provide quality education under uncertain conditions.
The SGP encouraged teachers to contribute to developing competent students who are aware of their role in building a better future for Burkina Faso. Mimtiri Oualbeogoa Oualbeogo, the Provincial Director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training (DPESFPT) of Passore, highlighted the curriculum reform that includes the adoption of the Competency-Based Approach (CBA), which aligns with the country’s education system. He emphasized the importance of the pedagogical days as continuing training for teaching staff and urged teachers to participate actively for the benefit of learners.
Additionally, the teachers initiated a fundraising operation to support the presidential initiative Faso Mebo in the Yaadga region.
