Ouagadougou: The Circle of Actions for Economic and Social Development of Burkina Faso (CADES-BF) launched on Wednesday in Ouagadougou frameworks for awakening and raising awareness among Burkinabe youth about the ideals of the Progressive Popular Revolution advocated by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore.
According to Burkina Information Agency, as part of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation, CADES-BF, with the support of the Prime Ministry, will host master classes in all regions of the country. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, representing the Head of Government, welcomed the holding of this initiative, which he described as a framework for awakening and civic education, intended to strengthen understanding of the ideological and practical foundations of the Progressive People’s Revolution.
He recalled that this dynamic is in line with the legacy of President Thomas Sankara, while responding to contemporary challenges related to sovereignty, social justice, and endogenous development. According to him, the Progressive Popular Revolution advocated by Captain Ibrahim Traore is based on the values of participation, discipline, innovation, and resilience, and constitutes a new direction towards a profound generational transformation.
The initiative aims to build a free, resilient, and prosperous Burkina Faso, free from all forms of alienation and external influence, he stressed. “The main motivation is to support the authorities in promoting and defending the values of the Revolution,” declared the secretary general of CADES-BF, Idrissa Sankara.
For him, these master classes, which will be held in all regions, aim to “promote the values of the Revolution and bring young people to a real awareness.” They are held on the theme: “Progressive and popular revolution: role and contribution of CADES-BF in the consolidation of a new Burkina with comrade Captain Ibrahim Traore, President of Faso, Head of State.”
The meetings will be held in the form of thematic presentations led by resource people in history, civics, and patriotism, on the one hand, and panels for exchanges and sharing of experiences, on the other. The master class will be aimed at volunteers, young community leaders, representatives of civil society organizations, students, pupils, journalists, communicators, local authorities, as well as anyone interested in issues of citizenship and patriotism.
